⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING COPYRIGHT
READ THIS BEFORE USING THE SERVICE
EbookVoiceReact is designed for converting content that you own, created yourself, or have explicit legal authorization to convert. You may NOT use this Service to create unauthorized audiobook versions of copyrighted works.

Organizational Use:
- Organize and manage your legally converted audiobook library
- Manage your subscription and account settings

4.2 Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to:
Content Restrictions (Copyright Violations):
- Upload or convert commercially published books, novels, or copyrighted works without explicit authorization from the copyright holder
- Convert bestselling books, popular fiction, textbooks, or any content currently protected by copyright that you did not create
- Create audiobook versions of copyrighted works for which authorized audiobooks already exist or could be commercially obtained

Misuse:
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
- Use the Service for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose
- Harvest or collect user information without consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
4.3 Copyright Compliance and Legal Responsibility
CRITICAL: You are solely and exclusively responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to convert any content you upload.
Your Responsibilities:
- You must own the copyright to the content, OR
- You created the content yourself, OR
- The content is in the public domain, OR
- You have obtained explicit written permission from the copyright holder to create an audio version, OR
- Your use falls under a legally recognized exception (such as accessibility accommodations under applicable disability laws)
What This Means:
- Simply purchasing an ebook does NOT automatically grant you the right to convert it to audio format
- "Fair use" or "fair dealing" exceptions are extremely narrow and typically do not cover creating complete audiobook versions of copyrighted works
- You must independently verify the copyright status of any content before uploading
- When in doubt, do NOT upload the content
Our Position:
- We respect intellectual property rights and expect all users to comply with copyright laws
- We do not monitor or verify the copyright status of uploaded content
- We are not responsible for your copyright infringement
- We respond to valid copyright infringement notices under the DMCA and UK copyright law
Consequences of Violation:
- Immediate account suspension or termination
- Removal of all infringing content
- Permanent ban from the Service
- You may be held personally liable for copyright infringement by rights holders
- We may be required to provide your information to copyright holders or law enforcement
- Legal action may be taken against you by copyright holders, which can result in significant financial penalties
If you are unsure whether you have the right to convert specific content, DO NOT UPLOAD IT. Consult a legal professional if you need advice on copyright compliance.
4.4 In-App Classic Library (Public Domain Books)
The Application includes a search feature for classic books sourced exclusively from established public-domain catalogs (currently Project Gutenberg). This section applies to books obtained through that feature; Section 4.3 continues to govern content you upload yourself. The two paths are distinct: for uploads, you supply the content and are responsible for it; for the classic library, we retrieve the book from the public-domain source on your behalf.
- Public-domain sourcing: The classic library only retrieves books from curated public-domain catalogs. You cannot supply your own URLs or files through this feature.
- Copyright status varies by country: Public-domain status is territorial. A book in the public domain in the United States may still be under copyright elsewhere (for example, in countries applying life-of-author-plus-70-years terms). You are responsible for confirming that a book is lawful to access and convert in your country of residence, and you agree to use the classic library only where doing so is lawful.
- No ownership: We claim no ownership of public-domain texts. Any trademarks of the source catalogs (such as the Project Gutenberg trademark) belong to their owners; we strip source boilerplate from converted text where practical.
- Availability: The classic library depends on third-party sources and may be modified, limited, or removed at any time (see Section 9).
- Takedown: If you believe a book available through the classic library is not in the public domain in a relevant territory, contact us using the copyright notice process in Section 19 and we will review and remove it promptly where appropriate.
5. Subscription Plans and Payments
5.1 Subscription Tiers
We offer multiple plans with different conversion-credit allowances and per-book length limits:
- Free Tier: A starting allowance of conversion credits plus additional credits that accrue monthly, with a per-book length limit
- Starter Tier: A larger monthly credit allowance and a higher per-book length limit
- Pro Tier: Unlimited conversions and the highest per-book length limit
- Lifetime: A one-time (non-renewing) purchase granting Pro-level access for the lifetime of the Service, subject to the fair-use limit in Section 5.7
- Enterprise Tier: Unlimited access with premium features
Specific limits and features for each plan are displayed in the Application. Conversion credits are consumed when a conversion completes; deleting an audiobook does not refund a credit. Playback of audiobooks already in your library never consumes credits.
5.2 Pricing and Payment
- Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) based on your selected plan
- On the web, payment processing is handled securely through Stripe
- On iOS and Android, subscriptions are purchased as in-app purchases through your Apple App Store or Google Play account (managed via RevenueCat); Apple or Google processes the payment and holds your payment details
- All fees are non-refundable except as required by law
- Prices are subject to change with at least 30 days' notice
5.3 Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled
- You will be charged the then-current rate for your subscription tier upon renewal
- You are responsible for providing accurate payment information
- Failed payments may result in suspension or termination of your subscription
5.4 Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time: on the web, through the Stripe billing portal; on iOS, in your device's Apple subscription settings; on Android, in your Google Play subscriptions
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You will retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
- We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by law
- For in-app purchases made on iOS or Android, refunds are requested from and handled directly by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies
- If you cancel, you may lose access to converted audiobooks stored under subscription limits
5.5 Free Trial (if applicable)
- Free trials may be offered for certain subscription tiers
- You may be required to provide payment information to start a trial
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the subscription
- Free trial eligibility may be limited to new users only
5.6 No Entitlement to Specific Features
A subscription grants access to the Service as it exists from time to time. It does not entitle you to any specific feature, future feature, level of support, custom development, influence over our product roadmap, or priority treatment. We may add, modify, or remove features at our discretion (see Section 9). Informal communications — including email, support messages, social media, or discussions about possible improvements — are not promises, do not create any obligation, and do not modify these Terms (see Section 14.1).
5.7 Lifetime Plan and Fair Use
- The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase; it does not auto-renew and you are never charged again for it
- "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the purchaser; if the Service is permanently discontinued, the Lifetime plan ends with it (see Section 9)
- Lifetime conversions are subject to a fair-use limit of 20 conversions per calendar month, intended to prevent automated or commercial-scale use; ordinary personal reading will not reach it
- The Lifetime plan is personal to your account and may not be shared, resold, or transferred
- Refunds for the Lifetime in-app purchase are requested from and handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their policies
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, graphics, text, and other content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by EbookVoiceReact and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Application for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Application
- Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Application
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
6.2 User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited license to:
- Store and process your EPUB files for conversion purposes
- Generate audio files from your ebook text
- Store and deliver audiobooks to your devices
- Perform technical operations necessary to provide the Service
This license terminates when you delete your content or account.
6.3 Generated Audio Files
Audio files created through our text-to-speech technology are generated using your content and our technology. You may use these audio files for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
6.4 Feedback
We welcome feedback, suggestions, ideas, and feature requests about the Service ("Feedback"). Any Feedback you provide is voluntary and non-confidential. By submitting Feedback, you agree that:
- we are under no obligation to review, respond to, or implement it;
- you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and incorporate the Feedback into the Service or any other product or service for any purpose, without compensation or attribution to you;
- you retain no ownership, intellectual property, or other rights in any feature, change, product, or service that may result from your Feedback; and
- providing Feedback creates no partnership, employment, joint venture, fiduciary, or other special relationship between you and us, and entitles you to no special rights, priority, payment, or consideration.
This applies whether or not you are a paying subscriber. We may invite you to provide Feedback (for example, by email or within the Application); your choice to respond is entirely voluntary.
